The school survived the cyclone, continuing to provide a safe haven for the children to receive a wonderful education from their qualified teachers. These teachers are incredible, delivering first class lessons in basic conditions, sometimes without pay for a month or more, never striking or faltering in their commitment to give these underprivileged children the best chance of breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty. Seeing these teachers at work in their classrooms, captivating the children with their lessons, inspired us to support them in any way possible. $100 will pay a teacher’s wage for a month, (so if every teacher who has ever taught their own children donated a morning’s pay, it would finance the New Hope school for decades!)
